OOohh, I'm excited. I bought the Hellions miniseries on eBay and it just arrived. Unfortunately, I have 2 exams tommorow--one of which involves organic chemistry--and a couple lab reports etc etc, so it'll be a bit till I can read it :(
Thanks for the links Laura K. It looks like a really bad day is coming up for Hellion...I'm 99.9% positive I'm not going to like X-force #13 now. Too many bad rumors.
I haven't, actually, liked X-force's handling of Laura all that much. It's weird because it's Kyle and Yost; she's their character, and so far they've developed her beautifully. But it almost feels like she's targeted to be the comic relief for the team or something...mostly how the other people treat her (Wolverine, Domino).
Story wise: Was gonna post chapter 90 of Helix, but fanfiction.net is being an asshole. Snff II, I haven't dropped but am deciding where I want the story to go from there (I like to have an overall plot formed before I post chapters so I don't get lost). Cowpie II I'm going to pick up again, I have the plot nice and clear and it's a matter of having time to work with it. mOBSCENE will get another chapter posted when fanfic feels like being mature about things.
Big things coming for Helix, as I said before. Everyone's going to be tested to breaking point and it remains to be seen if Hellion and X-23 can stick it out together. The Shrimps have their own plots going. Seeds of all the plots (almost all) are already planted in the chapters published, they're minute details that might not be caught. Mwahaha. There's like 4 major plots already in motion, and another big one coming up that might not be expected.
Also, I've been playing around with a New Mutants/Academy X era story: what it would have been like if X-23 had joined early on. This was inspired by a discussion board post I read where someone mentioned that DeWeir and Phillipes had planned on introducing her to their lineup. So I decided I would try that and see where it goes. I did a bit of it already and it's quite fun--more of the Snff feel to it, very highschool-y. I haven't even titled it yet.
Back to cramming! Cross your fingers that I don't flunk everything! x.x

Nothing's is going to happen to Julian. At least nothing permanent. Since Kyle and Yost took over New X-Men they've "evolved" him, and they set up him and Laura before going over to X-Force. Now remember back in Divided We Stand #1, that little piece of Hellion looking to join Magneto? May I remind you it was written by one Mr. Christopher Yost, they haven't forgotten him, and it's been almost or more then a year since we last saw Julian, to bring him back only to kill him, doesn't work. And his relationship with Laura, to kill him off (or something along the lines of that) doesn't work either, to say what their relationship was instead of is, I mean how do we (Helix fans) even attach to that? It would all be after the fact. He's pissed. He wants to get back at the X-Men (Yost set this up) Nothing is going to happen to him.

As for Kyle and Yost's handling of Laura, well with the Wolverine and Domino soon to be dating, and having already had a one night stand (don't know what title or issue) that's has got to be bugging Laura, In my mind Neena (Domino) is threat to Laura (she's going to take away her "daddy", she hated Storm during her first stay at the mansion, as she was dating Logan at the time) and also, I hear from some Domino fans that Neena is the maternal type, that in Laura's mind may also make her a threat to her mother (Sarah). I also think K & Y needed to show Laura denying her humanity and embracing her X-23 "persona", Josh helped her out of X-23 and back to being Laura, in X-Force #11 I jumped for joy that just when Jimmy was about to spill on Eli Bard (obviously someone they'll be going after and who almost killed her)she was more concerned about Rahne the gaining intel. That. Is. A. Big. Move. Though #12 solicitation: X-23 keeps cutting off pieces of Vanisher, has me...worried. I'm waiting for when she drops the "X-23" entirely (Kyle and Yost have said they want this too)
